Let's Go Globetrotting & Soul Sisters Global Network have joined forces, along with our highly experienced local partners in Costa Rica, to indulge the senses, return to nature, and have one heck of a good time!
Our goal for this tour is to bring together a group of adventurous women who are ready to immerse themselves in the natural beauty of Costa Rica's premiere destinations for a fun, comfortable and quick adventure over the United States' & Canada's Labor Day weekends, with customizable post-tour options to extend the Pura Vida. We feature La Fortuna, an area defined by Arenal Volcano and hot springs, and lush Monteverde, with, cloud forest as far as the eye can see.
We'll get up close and personal with wildlife (hello, sloths!), make our way by kayak and zip-line, and taste some pretty incredible coffee and cuisine. Are you ready for the fun? This trip is not to be missed.

Itinerary
Sept 2, 2026 (Day 1) - Arrive in San Jose / Welcome to Costa Rica
Arrive in Costa Rica’s capital and largest city, San Jose, and make your way to our hotel. Airport transfers (recommended) are available to pre-book for an extra charge.
Take a stroll through the lively city or check out the Central Market, before joining your chaperones, Angie & Rachelle, for a mandatory evening welcome meeting, where we will meet our Tour Leader and confirm important details like passport documents, travelers' insurance, and emergency contact information.
Afterwards, the group will head out for a street food walking tour to orientate yourself to San Jose, meet your fellow travellers and fill your bellies! San Jose comes alive after sunset, when the air cools and the sidewalks begin to glow with strings of lights and the hum of conversation. Food trucks each one sending out its own irresistible aromas, with delightful grilled carne asada, ceviche, fresh pupusas, costarican tacos, and sweet churros dusted with sugar. The sound of sizzling pans mixes with music drifting from nearby speakers—sometimes reggaeton, sometimes Latin music, and occasionally a local band is playing live.

Sept 3, 2026 (Day 2) - San Jose to La Fortuna / Parque Ecological Volcano Arenal
Today, we'll travel from San Jose to la Fortuna, where you will enjoy a day of adventure and nature with a Day Pass to Parque Ecological Volcano Arenal (PEVA), a private ecological park that is one of the most adventurous and scenic ways to experience the Arenal region. Explore scenic forest trails surrounded by views of the Arenal Volcano, then head over to the water for kayaking or paddleboarding. For thrill-seekers, experience the iconic Tarzan Swing and the fun Monkey Splash. The day combines outdoor activities and relaxation in a stunning natural setting, concluding with an included group dinner for a perfect end to this full-on day in the wild.
Hot springs are a hallmark of La Fortuna. We have extended our time in this region to ensure you can enjoy the moment.

After breakfast, discover the natural and cultural treasures of the Arenal region with a guided sloth tour, where you’ll observe these gentle creatures in their natural habitat while learning about local wildlife and ecosystems. Continue the experience at Arenal Vida Campesina with an authentic coffee tour, exploring traditional farming practices and sustainable agriculture. Learn how Costa Rican coffee is grown, harvested, and prepared, and enjoy a tasting that highlights the rich flavors of the region. This experience offers a perfect blend of nature, culture, and local tradition.

Experience the thrill of zip lining through the lush rainforest of La Fortuna, with breathtaking views of the
surrounding jungle and the iconic Arenal Volcano. Glide from platform to platform along a series of expertly
designed cables, enjoying an exciting yet safe adventure above the treetops. Along the way, take in the rich
biodiversity of the area, including tropical plants and wildlife, guided by professional instructors. This adrenaline-filled
activity offers a perfect combination of adventure, nature, and unforgettable scenery.

Sept 6, 2026 (Day 5) - La Fortuna to Monteverde / Crossing the Lake
Travel from La Fortuna to Monteverde through one of Costa Rica’s most scenic routes, combining land and water transportation across Lake Arenal. Begin the journey with a short drive to the lake, followed by a peaceful boat crossing offering beautiful views of the surrounding rainforest and the Arenal Volcano on a clear day. Upon arrival on the Monteverde side, continue by road through rolling hills and cloud forest landscapes. The experience is both efficient and memorable, concluding with a comfortable transfer directly to your hotel in Monteverde.
Upon arrival, explore the beautiful surrounds or go bird-watching near our hotel. Join us for an included group dinner.

After breakfast in Monteverde, set out for a guided hike in the Eternal Children’s Rainforest, one of the largest private reserves in Costa Rica. Here you will walk along scenic trails through dense cloud forest, home to extraordinary biodiversity, including tropical birds, wildlife, and lush vegetation. As you explore, learn about the forest’s conservation mission and its role in protecting water sources and ecosystems for future generations. This peaceful hike offers a meaningful connection to nature in a truly pristine environment.

Sept 8, 2026 (Day 7) - Monteverde to San Jose
Enjoy a relaxed morning in Monteverde, taking time to unwind and savor the last moments in this charming cloud forest region. Later, we'll head to CASEMCOOP for lunch, where you’ll be able to experience local flavors and traditional Costa Rican cuisine prepared by a community cooperative and purchased artisinal souvenirs handmade by local craftswomen. After lunch, enjoy some final free time in Monteverde before preparing for the journey back to San Jose.
In the afternoon, we will head back to San Jose. Join us for a special farewell dinner in San Jose where we can celebrate the many memories and new friendships that we've made along the way!

Extend Your Adventure
Sept 9-11/12, 2026 - Caribbean Escape: Puerto Viejo de Limón
Trade the cloud forest for the Caribbean coast — where a completely different side of Costa Rica awaits. Puerto Viejo de Talamanca is laid-back, Afro-Caribbean, and utterly unhurried, with September being one of the best months to visit thanks to the Caribbean coast's own distinct weather patterns and warm, turquoise waters.
Fill your days as you please — snorkel the coral reefs of Cahuita National Park, paddle a clear kayak through the mangroves, or simply float in the Caribbean Sea. On land, join a Bribri indigenous community tour, make (and eat) chocolate on a cacao farm, take a Caribbean cooking class, or hike to a hidden waterfall deep in the Talamanca rainforest.
Feeling adventurous? Take a day trip across the border to Bocas del Toro, Panama — easily reached by boat, with Caribbean island hopping, Starfish Beach, and a third country stamp in your passport by evening.

Sept 12-19, 2026 - Belize City, San Ignacio, Tikal (Guatemala) and Caye Caulker
Hoping for more time in Central America? Join Angie on an 8-day small group tour through one of the world's most underrated destinations: Belize, with a day trip into Guatemala.
From Belize City, journey by riverboat through the jungle to the ancient Maya ruins of Lamanai, learn to make corn tortillas the traditional way at a Maya women's co-operative in San Ignacio, and cross the Guatemalan border to Tikal National Park, home to howler monkeys, coatis, and parrots, and the remains of one of the Maya civilization's most legendary cities. Finish on the sun-drenched Caribbean island of Caye Caulker, snorkel with nurse sharks and stingrays, eat fresh seafood, and relax into pure island time.
