Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern the relationship between Maison de Voyageur LLC, d/b/a Let's Go Globetrotting ("LGG," "we," "us," or "our") and you, the client or traveler ("Client," "you," or "your"). LGG is an independent travel advisory hosted by Departure Lounge, and is affiliated with Virtuoso and other travel consortia, as well as a range of independent supplier partnerships. By engaging LGG's planning services or booking travel through us, you agree to be bound by these Terms and acknowledge that LGG acts solely as a booking agent for disclosed principal suppliers — including but not limited to hotels, tour operators, cruise lines, airlines, ground transportation providers, and other independent contractors (each, a "Supplier") — and is not the source or provider of the travel services themselves. Specific bookings made through our booking portal are also subject to the booking terms presented at the time of reservation; where those terms address a particular booking in more detail, they apply in addition to (not instead of) these Terms.

1. Use of LGG Services; Agency Status

You warrant that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal authority to engage LGG and make travel bookings, whether for yourself or on behalf of others in your travel party. You agree to be financially responsible for all bookings made on your behalf. All information you provide to LGG must be true and accurate, and you agree to request only legitimate reservations — speculative, false, or fraudulent bookings are prohibited.

LGG is an independent affiliate of Departure Lounge, our host travel agency, and accepts bookings solely as agent for disclosed principal Suppliers. Separate Supplier terms and conditions apply to each service you book, and by booking through LGG, you agree to abide by those Supplier terms as well. LGG is not liable for arrangements made independently of LGG, including costs or fees for airline, hotel, excursion, or travel-protection charges not booked through us.

If you make your own flight arrangements, LGG is not responsible for any loss resulting from cancellations, changes to international gateways, itineraries, or travel dates, and cannot assist with schedule changes or delays related to air reservations you booked on your own. It may not be possible to earn frequent flyer or other loyalty points for reservations on your itinerary, and with limited exceptions, hotel, casino, and airline rewards or points cannot be redeemed for travel arrangements made through LGG.

2. Client Intake & Service Tiers

All new clients complete a Client Intake Form and/or questionnaire before planning begins. We use this information to understand your travel style and recommend the appropriate Service Tier for your trip. Current Service Tiers and associated fees are detailed here.

3. Planning Fees & Payments

Planning fees are quoted and charged in USD and may be collected prior to the delivery of quotes or itinerary work. All planning fees are processed securely through Departure Lounge.

Tier 2 planning deposits are credited toward your booking upon confirmation, or may be applied toward a Tier 3 or 4 planning fee if you upgrade your service level. All other planning fees are non-refundable.

A minimum spend of $1,000 USD (before taxes and fees) in commissionable bookings applies to access LGG's back-of-house planning services. There is no minimum spend to book directly through our Online Booking Platform. Many clients recoup their planning fee (and often significantly ore) through partner perks such as room upgrades, credits, etc., though specific benefits depend on the Supplier, property, and availability and cannot be guaranteed.

4. Trip Changes & Cancellations

LGG reserves the right to assess a Trip Change fee (starting at $50 USD, with the exact amount based on the extent of changes requested, proximity to departure, and similar factors) and/or a Cancellation fee (starting at $150 USD, based on similar factors) for changes or cancellations to planning services, in addition to any fees assessed directly by hotels or other suppliers. Hotels & Suppliers often assess fees, under similar terms. Though LGG makes no guarantees, these fees are often recoupable through travel insurance, when cancelling for a reason specified in coverage. See Section 8 below.

5. Agent of Record for Confirmed Bookings

Once a reservation is confirmed, any changes or cancellations must be requested in writing directly with LGG at angie@letsgoglobetrotting.com. LGG and Departure Lounge are the booking agent of record for your reservation. You agree not to solicit changes or cancellations for any bookings made on your behalf directly from any Hotels, Suppliers, or other services. The LGG fees outlined in Section 4 may apply, in addition to any fees charged by the hotel or Supplier. You agree to comply with each Supplier's own booking terms, conditions, and policies. In some cases, deposits or full payments become non-refundable once a booking is confirmed.

6. Pricing, Errors & Availability

We reserve the right to correct pricing errors or omissions. Offers, incentives, and Supplier promotions are subject to availability and may change without notice. We recommend confirming reservations well in advance of travel to avoid fare increases, added fees, or loss of availability.

7. Travel Documents

You are solely responsible for obtaining and carrying a valid passport, visa(s), and any other documents required for your itinerary, as well as for meeting any identification requirements (such as REAL ID) for domestic travel. Passport, visa, and entry/exit requirements vary by destination and nationality and can change without notice; please consult the U.S. State Department (travel.state.gov) and relevant foreign government resources for current requirements before booking and before departure. It is your responsibility to verify that the name, date of birth, and other details on your travel documents match your reservations exactly.

8. Travel Insurance

LGG strongly recommends travel insurance or other trip protection for every booking and can provide a quote upon request at angie@letsgoglobetrotting.com. Without appropriate insurance, cancelling or interrupting your trip for any reason may result in the loss of some or all monies paid. LGG is not a licensed insurance broker; we cannot advise on the specific terms, exclusions, or adequacy of any policy, and we cannot guarantee that an insurer will approve any particular claim.

9. Risks, Safety & Travel Advisories

We encourage clients to stay informed of current travel advisories, health requirements, and safety conditions for their destinations, including via resources such as travel.state.gov and cdc.gov. LGG does not represent that travel to any destination is free of risk and is not liable for losses arising from conditions at a destination that are beyond our control.

10. Force Majeure

LGG is not liable for any failure or delay in performing under these Terms due to causes beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, severe weather, natural disasters, war, terrorism, epidemic or pandemic, government action, strikes, or failures of communication or transportation infrastructure. Suppliers' own force majeure provisions may also apply to your booking, and any related refunds remain subject to the Supplier's policies, though LGG will use reasonable efforts to assist you in seeking reimbursement where possible.

11. Client Conduct

You are solely responsible for your own conduct during your trip and for any damage or loss you cause, payable directly to the relevant Supplier. You agree to indemnify LGG for any claim (including reasonable legal costs) arising from your conduct. Baggage and personal belongings remain your sole responsibility at all times.

You are solely responsible for complying with all applicable laws, customs regulations, and licensing requirements of each jurisdiction you visit, including those governing items such as prescription medications, firearms, and other regulated goods. Any unlawful conduct during your trip is your sole responsibility, and LGG bears no liability for the consequences of such conduct, including detention, fines, or prosecution by local authorities.

You are also solely responsible for complying with the rules, regulations, and policies of each Supplier across all modes of travel — air, sea, land, and otherwise. LGG bears no responsibility for any consequences arising from your failure to comply with a Supplier's rules, including denied boarding or removal from a trip or property.

12. Currency

Prices are subject to change based on currency exchange rate fluctuations. LGG is not responsible for foreign transaction fees or surcharges imposed by your bank or credit card company.

13. Payment Disputes

You agree not to initiate a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or credit card company for charges related to a booking or planning fee. Instead, you agree to raise any billing concerns directly with LGG at angie@letsgoglobetrotting.com. If you initiate a chargeback in violation of this provision, LGG reserves the right to recover all associated costs, including reasonable attorney's fees.

14. Limitation of Liability

LGG acts solely as a booking agent for disclosed principal Suppliers and is not the source or provider of any travel service. We do not control the operations of independent Suppliers and are not liable for their acts, errors, omissions, delays, cancellations, or quality of service, except where caused by our own negligence. Where LGG liability exists, it is limited to the planning fees and commissions actually received by LGG for the booking at issue.

15. Website Use & Content

All content on letsgoglobetrotting.com, including text, photography, graphics, and the Let's Go Globetrotting name and logo, is the property of LGG or its licensors and may not be copied or used without permission. Our website may link to third-party sites, including Supplier and consortia sites; we are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of those sites. Information on this website is provided for general informational purposes and does not guarantee specific pricing, availability, or itinerary details, which are confirmed only at the time of booking.

16. Privacy

Our collection and use of your personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. The most current version will be posted on this page and is effective immediately upon posting. Continued use of LGG's services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

18. General

These Terms are governed by applicable law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect. These Terms, together with any booking-specific terms presented at the time of reservation, constitute the entire agreement between you and LGG regarding our services.

Questions about these Terms can be directed to angie@letsgoglobetrotting.com.
